A Tea Party with Joy

Whispers of Happiness in Everyday Life

Thank you for your interest in writing a story for A Tea Party with Joy.

What we are looking for:

Short stories of approximately 700 words or shorter. It could just be a paragraph or two. Stories are to be based on one or more of the following:

  • where do you find joy?
  • a story of when you have found joy unexpectedly,
  • when you have lost joy, how do you bring it back?
  • a story or thought that always brings a smile to your face,
  • How have you brought joy to someone else’s life?

I look forward to reading your stories over a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

Please share this with friends, family and colleagues.
You don’t have to be a writer to share your story.

 about 123READ2me

One thing that brings me joy is reading to my 2 preschool grandchildren. Seeing the world come alive in them and the joy that follows as their imagination blossom is why I have chosen 123Read2Me for the charitable cause to support with this book.

123Read2Me currently provides children in low socioeconomic communities with FREE quality children’s books through recycled books or new ones purchased with cash donations. The total value of books donated to date exceeds $5,000,000.00 (replacement value).

International research is unequivocal. Reading aloud to children for 15 minutes every day builds the necessary neural networks to underpin success in school and throughout their lives, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty.

Waiting until the child starts school is too late. They will never catch up.
